Fair Pricing and Open Communication
We offer a variety of prevention and treatment options for animals large and small. Our most common Seguin veterinary service patients include dogs, cats, cattle and equine. We also have the ability to treat pigs, sheep and goats with most of our large-animal treatment options. Our veterinarians and office staff focuses on kind, compassionate care while maintaining open communication and fair pricing every time.
We provide exams, vaccines, deworming, heartworm and parasite preventatives for small animals. We also offer microchipping, nutritional consultations, dental consultations and recommendations for surgery. For larger animals, we offer routine care and herd consultations.
When it comes to diagnostic testing, we take an approach that avoids unnecessary testing and fees. In addition to routine screenings for large and small animals, we offer pregnancy determination, Trich testing, fertility testing, Coggins testing and recommendations for farrier work. Many of our diagnostic tests, including labwork and radiographs, are able to be done in-office.
In the event that we unable treat your animal, due to an after-hours emergency or the need for a specialist, we offer referrals to veterinarians we trust and have professional relationships with.
Choosing to provide end of life care for your pet is never an easy choice. Our staff will take time to help you process the decision and offer you aftercare options including cremation. We make every effort to ensure our office is a calm and peaceful environment throughout the entire process.
Our trained veterinary staff provides general surgery including spays, neuters, tumor removals, scheduled c-sections and laceration repairs. For large animals, we provide c-sections, calf pulls, prolapse repairs, and castrations, among other services.
Medical assessments in the office help us ensure a proper diagnosis for your animal. We’ll look at your pet’s ears, skin, eyes, and check out his or her neurological, cardiovascular, skeletal and gastrointestinal symptoms. When necessary, Southern Winds Veterinary Services will perform urine and/or blood tests to check your pet’s kidneys, pancreas, liver and endocrine system.
