Highly suggest! Dr. Montgomery and Dr. Alsop are amazing! I have a very shy Doberman and they’re never pushy or make her uncomfortable. Gentle and kind, plus they’re very upfront about what’s going on with my animals. The staff is also super friendly and understanding of my girl. Also amazing with cats as well! Probably the best vets I’ve met in a really long time! You can tell they genuinely do care about each animal they see.

This is a new clinic in Seguin, but Dr. Montgomery has been our vet for about 10 years. He is very attentive to our pet’s needs and has been there for us in several emergency issues, where his knowledge and quick response kept our pets alive. He is pleasant and listens. Over the many years we have had pets, he is the best vet we’ve ever had! We will not mind driving the extra miles to his new clinic.

I’ve been considering what vet to use for quite awhile. When I popped open the website for Southern Winds and the first thing I saw was a big, happy, healthy cat. I reckoned I’d found the one. The entire experience was top notch first rate. Just a first vaccination for a kitten, but I could tell everyone there really loves and cares about animals. My kitten is already back at play with no discomfort. I’ve found my vet, and I’m relieved and happy.

Very kind and sweet to my fur baby. She's almost 14 years old and they didn't make her do anything she didn't want to do. Very loving and caring staff and very professional and knowledgeable. They didn't push anything extra on us like products or gimmicks. We highly recommend this vet clinic. 2 thumbs up.

Dr. Montgomery has taken care of our livestock, dogs and cats over the years and he is hands down one of the best, if not the best, vets around. He is highly intelligent, has the utmost integrity, is budget conscious and is one of the kindest and most compassionate people I know. He respects the animal and the animal respects him, which is very evident when he's treating the animal. He has always been here for our animals, regardless if it's been a scheduled call or an emergency. He was here recently on a Saturday morning emergency call to help our mama cow who was having issues standing after having her baby. Dr. Montgomery treated her and she stood up in no time. I wish I had a picture of Polly's face when she stood and looked at him. She showed him the most beautiful look of gratitude and thanks before walking off. I would highly recommend Dr. Montgomery for your veterinary needs. You and your animals will be glad you did.

Dr. Montgomery has been taking care of my pets for the past 7 years. My blue heeler is now 13 and he has kept her healthy even in her senior years. He cares about making sure my 3 dogs are happy and healthy.

They take care of all our animals- from our furry family members (dogs), to our show animals (pigs, goats, cattle), to our livestock out in the pasture (cattle). Great customer service, a big heart for the animals, and always willing to work with our crazy schedules.

Highly recommended veterinarian! We were on a trip driving through Texas when our dog showed signs of swelling and insect bite hole growing on paw turning into an emergency. After calling around to multiple vets and being turned away we called Southern Winds. Even though they were fully booked and closing soon they were willing to see our dog. Staff was friendly and helpful. The veterinarian was caring and knowledgeable. They fixed up our dog and sent us on our way. Best interaction with a vet in a long time! Price did not hurt the pocket ether which is always a plus. Thank you Dr. Alsop and staff!

Dr. Montgomery is a very knowledgeable and compassionate vet. He's operated on one of my smallest (spay, removed ½ lb mammary tumor, dental cleaning w/extractions) and helped me with aftercare plans. Midge (the dog) is doing extremely well and she's always happy to see the vet! Additionally, Dr. Montgomery has helped me make some difficult decisions in care for some of my other animals and I'm glad that he was there to help me through that rough time. I'd definitely use Southern Winds for all of my dogs' care.

Great Veterinarian Clinic! Excellent customer service, communication, pricing and ability to accommodate. We couldn't be more pleased with the service provided. Our visit (which was our first) might just be the best Vet visit I can recall. Our dog had been experiencing issues with his spine/hind end. Dr Montgomery stayed clear of fear regardless of the potential diagnosis. He kept it simple, positive and straightforward. Our dog is not 100% out of the woods yet, but doing much better. Dr Montgomery will definitely be the first (and hopefully the only) phone call we make for our future Vet needs. I highly recommend! Love this vet clinic! Was looking for a vet that had time to diagnose a little bottle fed kitten I have (congenital liver disease). Patient, kind, listened, advised me to let her liver get best life but not spend money on vaccinations (she won't live a full year). Just a good clinic that cares about your critters.
